Skype 3.0 up for grabs...

In case you have been on planet Zod for a while, Skype is one (of many) ways of communicating via your PC to landlines, PCs, Macs, and Mobiles. (Although the Apple version is in Beta I think so it may not be a good idea to put it on a main development system).

It is a FREE download and it is FREE to use for the main part. If you want FREE UK phone calls for 6 months, buy £10.00 Skype credit (which costs about £11.50 btw) and 01 and 02 numbers become free to call from your PC for 6 months. This offer is available until the end of this year.

I have been using it all year and it has been invaluable to use during the development of software this year with people near and far. You can video call or chat with text, or speak.

I have now developed three projects using Skype as the interface with my clients. I am actively encouraging people to say "hi" via Skype. BTW if you have Windows Media OS you can sit and chat with people on your tv, using webcams. How cool is that? The latest version has upto 100 people conferenceing inside what are known as SkypCasts and these can be public or private.
