Some of you will be aware of the Oblivion expansion pack - Knights of the Nine.

Well, in the UK - this little chap is £19.99:

However, go to the Oblivion site and it is $9.99 for the download version:

In UK terms - that's a fiver - £5.00.

Go do the math - I'm off to bark at a tin of beans.

I bought that for my Brother for christams, for £19.99, well thank you very much Bethesda

I am downloading it now - 154MB.

£5.00 - I just saved £15.00 - going to buy some sweeties.

I best check Steam, see if there is anything else worth virtually taking from the Yanks.

WAIT A MINUTE!

This thing is only the Knights of the Nine - it doesn't include all the other stuff in the boxed version.

Sniff. I was cheated - they sucked me in.

Having said that, downloading the missing content is only £6.93.

So, it will cost £12.00.

Not sure I am so happy about that. Only a £7.00 saving. Not as much sweeties with that.

well it's a nice loop hole worth finding.

Well, personally, I think they are very naughty - the 2 products have the same name but have different content.

I have had my profit halved by very cruel marketing.

it doesn't include all the other stuff in the boxed version.

1) I already have all the other content
2) I just downloaded it for free anyway, so I dont know where you got the £6.93 thing form, (Less Im missing something)
Mind you..... I cannot wrap a steamdownload, so I would probably still have to had spent another £20 anyway. Still anoying though

Ain't been your week, Puki.

The downloadable versions include some rather nasty copy protection. They'll only install on a 32 bit version of windows xp, and for some reason ctfmon tends to crash the installer. You only get one shot at installing them; if you ever loose your harddisk and want to redownload them, (or apparently even if you've backed up the installer, and just want to reinstall it,) you need to buy another copy. Make sure you back up the esp and bsa files that they install instead.

Make sure you run rootkit reveler/regdelnull after installing them too; they hide some gunk in your registry using null characters.

Nice. Sure glad I bought the boxed version now, overpriced or not.

I've been stiffed like a jolly little badger.
