All-purpose 3D model viewer?

I use a nice lil freeware proggie called Irfanview to quickly and easily view all sorts of graphic formats (jpg, bmp, png, gif etc etc etc).

Is there such a viewer for 3D models? Something that loads in all the (common?) model types and lets you see what they look like, quickly and easily? I don't need to convert, unwrap, texture or anything else - just view. Anything else would be a bonus.

Any ideas?

I'm guessing this is one of those things you notice doesn't exist and end up writing it yourself, for yourself?

I'm pretty sure I've see such a program once.. But I can't for the life of me remember what it was called...
I didn't have any use for it back then, so I wasn't exactly hunting for one eiter..

DeepExploration or something similar to that has a viewer which also converts between many different formats...I'll just go and look it up -

There are too many different formats and variations on each one to make something like this for free. But cheap alternatives include Unwrap3D & Fragmotion.

There used to be a free version of Deep Exploration, and although it's not available any more, it might be legal to pass around the old one if you have it. I don't think I do, but someone might.
