ISP issues

Hi guys,
I dont know if anyone here goes to Syntaxbomb.com or not, but if you do, you would know that Im having a problem getting on. I have been working with Qube in this matter. The problem is, when I try to go to the site, it says Site unavailable. I tried reoloading, does no good. So Qube told me to talk to my ISP, which is Comcast. They say, they can view it, and they have no idea as how to fix this prob. Qube has done everything on his end, and its not his prob or the site. And on my end, ive run more test than I can imagine so its not my comp. I can view other sites, but Qube says, there are more, I just dont know it. Here are some facts:

1) My comp is free of virus's and spywae etc. All test negitive to harm.
2) Qube has done his part, check banning, provider, etc.
3)my nephew 2 miles away, can view it, different ISP
4)Comcast can view, and reset my ISP.
5) I can view Syntax, using a cloaking prog, making my ISP disabled. But cant log on etc
6)Im on a router, and the main comp has a cable modem. Neither comp can view Syntax, same ISP.
7) Comcast says, I have a dynamic ISP, changes all the time
8 ) I was on the site, submiting to a topic, when It finally died on me last Tuesday.
9) When I go to my nephews computer (other town) I can log in and do things as if I was at home.

Does anybody have any idea other than Qube's at to what else might be wrong? Qube has been excelent on this prob, and I dont doubt his inteligence or cabability. Im just thinking the two of us maybe over looking something. Any ideas. Any suggestion, is welcome. Trooper Dave
ps, I had comcast on phone when we did a walk through on our comps. He is baffeled and says its not my settings.

Sounds like a range of I.P's might have been banned on their site.. your stats for this site show you posting from only 2 I.P adresses, so your dynamic I.P can't change that much.

This is something only Qube can fix, as only he knows his sites security features etc..

Sounds like both I.P adresses could be banned on his site, or even blocked from the server, if not - could it be caused by settings on your home PC's?

Thats what I thought, and he double and triple checked this. He says its not the case. He ran some ms-dos checks and I emailed the resuls to him. And another thing is, ISP's are visible to the user if he/she logs on. And my password was way to easy to figure out. I think somebody grabbed my ISP after getting in as me, and has done something. Still undetermained at this time.

Tried a DNS flush?

find yourself an open dns server out on the net somewhere and change your dns settings to point to that. See if you can get to it then. If so, then your isp is going to have to look at their dns and determine if any number of things are wrong... dns poisoning, etc.

OK, took care of that, but didnt change anything. Im still having same prob. So DNS doesnt seem to be prob.

I would test with a different browser. syntaxbomb dumps you at cpanel if you go straight to it's ip, - 85.13.252.7 so pretty hard to determine dns issues if any. My money is on some bad cookie code which running a fresh browser will rule out.

That I did too. I ran firefox or something. I did a quick test on DNS, and failed a certain section. And Im not sure, but it looks like is the problem. How do I see who is responsible for this IPS?

I've just taken the whole domain off and rebound the domain to the nameserver again which created a fresh new DNS entry. Try again (it make take an hour or two for changes to be reflected for you).

I notice your ISP comcast uses a webcache system, but recommends you don't put the webcache settings in your proxy settings? - In contrast here in the UK we have Telewest (Blueyonder) which DOES recommend you put the webcache settings in. Strangely enough, my Dad had issues months ago with accessing some sites. Entering Telewests (Blueyonder) webcache settings into the proxy settings fixed the problem and has worked ever since.

If your DNS is down you should be able to connect to the site just by using the IP address. I.E. http://192.168.1.1, all DNS does is resolve the site name to an ip.

Leiden: Not entirely true. With HTTP1.1 (supported by 99.999% of systems for years now), you can bind thousands of websites to a single IP if you want to... And the vast majority of hosting companies do indeed sharea single IP with a bunch of sites since IP's aren't free, and indeed a limited resource.
