It's fun to watch!

That's amazing! :)

w000t! I see it, but I can't believe it .. :P

Now all its needs is a person with an afro-coup and a soothing voice talking about happy little colors, happy little windows, happy little tires etc. :P

That's really good. I shall make a banana.

Can I do that? Of course I can! I tend to whip up a car or two in MS paint whenever I take a short respite from programming compilers and air traffic control systems.

;P

I wasn't overly impressed, TBH. It's obviously done by a good artist using a graphics tablet - the fact it's using MS Paint doesn't seem relevant. A good artist never blames his/her tools.

And those tyres... they are SERIOUSLY lo-profile!

I think you're in your right to blame your tool if its MS Paint.
Though, its obvious that this is a good artist, you can see how he struggled with the tool in various places :)

Am I the only one who knows you're talking about Bob Ross? Genius artist. Pity he died. :/

thanks I enjoyed that.

nice to see an artist at work.

I don't think I blinked once watching that, my eyes sting now! Very impressed though

The more I create, the more I think that's untrue. Having a
small barrier between what's in your mind and what you can
create is pretty important.

Let's take it one step further than MSPaint: You could
technically draw an image via DATA blocks, right?

Sure you could draw an amazing image this way, but using
Photoshop 7 would allow you to express yourself much easier.
Tools matter. That's why you all use Blitz to program and
not assembly.

I mean, c'mon. Am I right or am I right.

the fact it's using MS Paint doesn't seem relevant. A good artist never blames his/her tools.

While I generally agree with that statement -- MS Paint is not a tool, it's a joke.

The more I create, the more I think that's untrue. Having a
small barrier between what's in your mind and what you can
create is pretty important.

Let's take it one step further than MSPaint: You could

OK, what I said about not blaming tools was just a throw away comment, really, but that's a pretty crass analogy. :)

What I meant was that he's only using very basic tools to draw - cos that's all MS Paint has - but, I don't see how using the same tools in PSP, or whatever high-end art app you care to mention, would make the process much easier. That's why I don't see the fact it was done in MS Paint is particularly relevant.

The discussion about these tools is only relevant when it comes to lack of a certain important feature in tool A compared to tool B. If both tool A and B have the same feauture for a certain process then there's no argueing.

Now all its needs is a person with an afro-coup and a soothing voice talking about happy little colors, happy little windows, happy little tires etc

Am I the only one who knows you're talking about Bob Ross? Genius artist. Pity he died. :/

I miss Bob. He helped a lot of my former students get much happier with art. Simple success. Happy success...

MS Paint bites! Photoshop blowz!

PSP 9 rulez for d toolz! (and COREL 12 ain't bad niether!!!)

PSP 9 rulez for d toolz!
11 is out !

You don't see how drawing in Photoshop is easier than
drawing in MSPaint? C'mon, you're joking. In this
particular example, consider: Layers, brush-attribute
control, colour management, masks ... man I could go on forever.

It is much, MUCH easier to create something in PS as
opposed to MSPaint. I will say again, tools matter. Unless:

If both tool A and B have the same feature for a certain process then there's no arguing.

I can mostly agree with that.

btw, I heard there's going to be Bob Ross software for the Wii .. how's that? :P

Won't that just be the most awesomest game ever made? Seriously,
if it's well executed, I might hold it in as high regard as the
original MarioPaint. Time will tell!
