Amiga - Nice quiz

Amiga Quiz is pretty good and quite hard too.
I scored 47% Beginner. See how you fair.
What the quiz does do though is remind me of what made the Amiga great. An elegently-designed machine with a set of custom chips each with their own name. A machine with sole. A machine with character. A machine I had great fun with ..
Deluxe Paint, Aegis Sonix, Defender of the Crown, Marble Madness, F18 Interceptor, Test Drive, BlitzBasic2 (*plug*!)
Brings on a warm fuzzy feeling.
Sure beats owning a boring beige box (PC)!
Dang, that quiz is hard ;)
A quiz about the games and that'd be another story...
Defender of the Crown
...which was actually abysmal on the Amiga. C64 version was infinitely better.
Man, I got 50% (15 right, 15 wrong).
bah!
"That is 44 percent.
Beginner!"
got a couple of near misses ;-) No questions about assembly or workbench or games or peripherals...I never used those librarys as I was an ASM/Blitz head.
50% here
40%
I just got my copy of "On The Edge - The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore" though.. I'll take the test again after reading it :D
Hello.
50% too.
Goodbye.
50% here too...
30%, not bad considering I just guessed 95% of the questions, never having owned an Amiga myself.
(parents figured an NES was good enough for me during those days ;/ )
70%...
30%, a lot higher than I thought.
70%...
:p I don't believe you, fanatic! ;D
If you've followed the Amiga from the beginning and programmed on it, it isn't this hard. But it might be if your mainapp was xcopy pro... ;O)
57%... I missed most of the "what library contains -x-" types of functions, plus those regarding the 3.0 ROM (last one I used was the 2.0 one)
/Used to have a 2000 and a 1200
//AMOS Pro ruled.
I got 74%.
The sad part is I have an expanded A4000 sitting on my desk and I only got that much :P
It's quite obvious that the german version is a lot harder than the english one... ;O)
And secondly 22/30=73,33333 which is 73%.. ;O)
Lucky it's an Amiga test and not a maths one.
74% is what it told me. I'm keeping that extra 1%. So there.
*laughing* ;O)
Yes the libray and 3.0 ROM got me even though a had a 1200. Really my knowledge was limited to a certain area, games programming and games.
You scored 19 points out of 30 possible.
That is 64 percent.
Average Amiga knowledge !
Only 14 out of 30, Grrrr
But I was better the second round :oD
You scored 18 points out of 30 possible.
That is 60 percent.
Average Amiga knowledge !
go me! I knew all those random facts would come in useful someday.
60% - Average. I got the Amiga Forever 2 DVD history of Amiga set on discount recently, so after I get and watch them maybe I'll do better ;]
It's quite obvious that the german version is a lot harder than the english one... ;O)
Really?! The English version has unnecessarily confusing questions, along with terrible grammar!
The question "only Amiga makes it possible", with the anser "a second OS via multitasking"... how is that right?
73%, btw. "Average"
Neil
For today's younger gamers, the quiz should only have one question: What is an Amiga? Most of them would get it wrong :)
For today's younger gamers, the quiz should only have one question: What is an Amiga?
If the youngsters are anything like the ones I know then the answer will usually be, "It's some bird from Spain innit?"
The question "only Amiga makes it possible", with the anser "a second OS via multitasking"... how is that right?
Got me stumped too. I don't think the 'second OS' part is correct. The multitasking though was a big feature of the Amiga.

No, they are identical. Out of curiosity I just took the German version. this morning I got 57% on the English one, the German one gave me 97% just now (after remembering most of my earlier mistakes)
Sie erhalten 29 Punkte von 30 möglichen.
Das entspricht 97 Prozent.
Fortgeschrittener Amiga-Anwender!
I was joking?! :O)
Ah.
