Here's a new social networking site being put up by Garage Games to link players, developers, and publishers in a MySpace type manner. This is a radical idea which I've been wanting to see happen for about a year ... I wrote a blog on there about using something like MySpace actually. Seems like this is the equivalent for gamers.

Have to be careful about your IP these days. There was a NPR program the other day about how about 1/4 of employers filtering new applicants were using the net and places like myspace in particular in preliminary background checks.

They also have an industry appearing, aimed at cleaning your online image. Was pretty interesting.

Yes certainly interesting! Online image is something I've been interested in for a long time. Really, I don't see it much different from your in person image ... you should be who you are whereever you are. The biggest thing is that online all your dialog is recorded which can be pretty scary considering what you might have said at some point. Nevertheless it's a part of the future. I actually went on a flooring estimate the other night where the customer told me the first time she saw some pictures of my work were on my MySpace profile. It kind of wierded me out at first but I figured it was cool that she called me and liked the pictures.
