Daddy's got a new free monitor!

Yep,
My company gave me a HP p 1230 monitor. There was a Meger (read that as: HOSTILE TAKEOVER) and some of us walked away with some sweet things that the boss did not want to give to the sister company.

Got a IBM Netvista too for the wife... and I HP 8550 Colorlaserjet... I am STRUMMING!!!

Would make a nice 2nd monitor, but I wouldn't give up my 19" LCD myself. :-?

(Odd thing I noticed -- my 19" LCD at work has the exact same vertical screensize as the 21" CRT sitting next to it... Except the CRT is an inch or so wider.)

My monitor has a glowing ice-blue power button.

My center computer speaker console has a blue led. I suspect that they accidentally mounted a blue laser pointer instead, and glued a piece of green paper over the led to give it a more bearable color and level of brightness.

(Seriously, what's the point of colored leds all over the place? I'd sooner pay extra to not have my computer beam colored light in my peripheral vision all day long... Especially with lighted fans, where you get the nice added flickering thrown in for free.)
