My Next Project for next year is a compiler, no not for X86, covering 8 bit CPU's like the Atari 2600/ Spectrum/ C64, Hand held technology? etc.
Features include:
Highlighted Syntax IDE just like your BMAX
Add new command wizard
Builtin Framework for BIOS only adding command modules as required
Variable/Function/media/Include list on right of IDE
useful Real time Help Text right lower on IDE
Auto Restore points of source code for when things go bad
Share modules/functions as open source or encoded source on the internet.
security features: encoded Modules/functions/code can be shared privately by groups on several PC's , other users cannot read source code.
some builtin media tools for sprites/sound/levels
forum support hopefully? for support on emulators and programming tips.
Purpose:
Retro vintage game remakes for atari game consoles that can be make into real cartridges, games for vintage computers, all can be played though emulators
Just download an emulator for the console/computer you intend developing games for and your away, program in BASIC/C++/IN-LINE ASSEMBLER.
There will be a small purchase cost of $40 NZD and a free trial version. (It will cost money for the website/mysql database/ domain registration/website development time/ time spent writing program)
I have already written and tested the highlighted syntax editor. Plus a protype of the compiler and made some sprites move around the screen though an emulator I wrote.
The download will include demos and some emulators, I dont wont it to be a mission to install or use.
The expandable command feature will allow more computers/consoles than the ones made by me.
