It is not actually self-aware, it is just told to be, darn it!

Other than that, this here is a very cool robot and quite a stellar achievement in programmed intelligence (a step closer to proper AI).
I'm really looking forward to what they can do with it in the future!

meh... its not that impressive. It is begining to look at AI as intelligence rather than rote-models... They need to take this concept and bring it down to a lower level. Let emergence take care of complexity, and have a system of competeing simple systems. Like a 6 year old learing to dance.

That's not a proper robot. I've got a Robosapien V2 - that's a proper robot.

Yeah, I'm tired of hearing about Artificial Intelligence that is merely programmed to do something, rather than based on true pattern matching. Robosapien is just a toy. =P

My Robosapien V2 can talk and dance and he can also fly and climb trees. I rather think that is a proper robot. Plus he has lazers and can burn holes in things.

He can't explain what he is.
