How do you change all the same colours in an image

Take nVidia's logo:



If I want to change the green bit to blue - how do I do it - I mean change it to blue, whilst retaining the shading?

I assume you can do it in code by looking for colours that have high ratings in RGB green - I assume you flip the values of Green to Blue - but how do you isolate exactly which ones you want to alter?

I have PaintShop Pro - can it do this for me?

Well in photoshop you could select "by colour range" and then do an "Edit/Hue, Saturation"

Isn't there some similar option in Paintshop pro?

got me nothing. Maybe PaintShop can't do this?

select the colour you want, maskimage that colour, paste it over a block of the colour you want to replace it with then grab it. Repeat as required for other colours in the image. This will replace what you want faster than doing it pixel by pixel.

Great - do it for me, then post a picture of the blue one.

In fact, how do you do this with video footage.

For example, the animated nVidia logo when you play a computer game that is promoting nVidia.

I need to basically turn nVidia logos to blue versions - just to replace the green.

Isn't there a "Replace color" under the "Animation" menu?

Well, my new computer will be black and have ice-blue lighting - my monitor, mouse and keyboard have ice-blue lighting.

I am switching back to an Intel CPU and I am having an nVidia card this time.

However, the green in the nVidia logos is going to bork the look of my system - so I am going to hack them all blue.

I think my black system with ice-blue lighting will look so exciting if all the nVidia stuff is ice-blue instead of green.

So...you're going to print these blue logos off as ... stickers
and stick them on the cooling fan of your graphics card?

No, I am talking about just the logos that will appear on the screen. I want to hack them all - including any system tray icons and additional nVidia software (that has logos/icons).

Well, I'm not planning on doing it myself - my intial post was tactical - I now know who can do this for me.
