Make an lightweight external application like "Steam", "WildTangent Console" or "RealArcade" -where you don't have to install plugins to get the igLoader capabilities.

It looks good and un-cluttered, you have made fairly good realarcadish use of the small space available to you. I would consider groups "favorites" instead to appeal to a more casual market's idea of what groups of stuff are.
Yes, this please. Even though I do trust you, the igloader has completely stopped working for me in both IE and firefox.

It's getting better and better.
Personally i prefer a more "serious" design for this sort of apps. Now it has a scent of non removable adware thingies such as BoontyBox.
Personally I don't think you can appease those with little trust. If they don't trust you enough to install your plug-in, why would they trust you enough to install an application?
As i said weeks before: Killer content is the best argument. Due to security issues i suspect you won't have a chance to get it beyond places were flash already is an issue...beside of this i like the colours.

Better than a plugin because a plugin could be exploited by a malicious site that targets a defect in the plugin. I think this is an excellent idea! I've often thought the world needs something like Steam, but easier for developers to get involved with (maybe Stream it's that hard, I don't know), but more importantly specifically targeted at indie games.

Where as the application can be exploited by a malicious site that targets a defect in Internet Explorer. Personally I'd rather trust Indiepath to get it right over Microsoft. At least igLoader has so far proven itself trustworthy where as IE, not so much.
Let igLoader reach the install base and ubiquitous usage of IE and then we'll talk about exploits and security holes.

Um... Not worth the effort? There are more webservers and mailservers running Linux than there are running windows...
Servers don't have stupid users behind the keyboards, ready to be picked clean of credit card numbers and bank account logins.
