LOL.
I'd heard about that cock up, but seeing it in action is class.

I hate how people were commenting with stuff like "See? This is proof that macs are better".
I don't have to explain why that's a stupid thing to say.
Vista still blows though.

That was an awful reporter, though.
Ooooh, isn't this witty? I'm devaluing it by moving my fingers up and down!!
Actually, my playing with the voice recognition feature in a Vista Beta a while ago on someone else's computer has been pretty good. Once it learns your speaking patterns (which it does do), it starts working really well for controlling effectively anything that is using the Windows GUI.
I never tried writing something in Word with it, so that may be bugged, but I imagine he demonstrated it assuming that it worked before. It may have been a freshly set up system or they didn't think about how he's speaking much louder in front of a whole bunch of people.

The only word my TabletPC consistently reckognizes correctly is "Microsoft".
I've seen this before, but that's surely a problem with the voice recognition software, or does that come FREE with Vista?
..hehehehe...imagine how it will look coding over voice recognition..hehehe

Didn't they use that when they coded DBpro?
Well, Microsoft said ambient noise broke it, what good is that, say, in an office, or even in a house with kids, the TV, even listening to music while you work! :/
