Sure, I could just not eat for 3 years.
Seriously though, I wish, oh I wish I could see that configuration running some
game from the future. Each of those 8800GTXs are a whole computer by themselves.
(They chew up 140 Watts each!)
On the other hand, but in the same vain, the heat generated by today's machines really
bothers me. It bothers me to know that today's processors aren't really getting faster
through improved efficiency, but through increased power usage.
I hope that sometime in the near future, we stumble upon a new process of computing that
is drastically more efficient than what we've got now. 'Cause we're heading for a
ceiling. Not all of us can afford liquid nitrogen cooling, but sadly, that's the direction
computing is going.

Didn't they miss stuff like RAM, power supply, a power plant,...?
The heat doesn't bother me nearly as much as the massive power consumption of these monsters.
I'm currently on a 110W notebook, dualcore, 2GB RAM, 7600GT 256MB VRAM, plays most current games without much problems on highest details and that at 1680x1050
So is anyone with more braincells than the PR guys at ATI and NVIDIA able to tell me, where the other 440+ W go, that a desktop system needs? *hehe*

I've been thinking exactly the same thing lately. something doesn't add up when a top notch notebook can pretty much perform like a desktop and only use a third or less of the power.
