Gothic 3 demo

Has anyone played it yet? I have the demo and I love it so far; only thing is it lags horribly since I don't have duel core processors. I'll be buying a new computer soon just so I can play this game.

It beats Oblivion by a landslide. I hated how all enemies and secrets were auto-leveled to your current level. In Gothic 3 everything stays the same as you try to level up and beat the enemies that keep killing you or etc. I guess you would have had to played Oblivion to understand what I mean.

Anyway I didn't leave a link since all of you live in different parts of the world. It's pretty much available anywhere.

I spent more time downloading and installing then playing.

I hate it.

At the starting, I was attacking those Orcs and then one of them managed to hit me, so I fell down. Ok, no big deal, I just fell once. Well, they kept on hitting me down. I have no freakin clue on how I could get up without getting knocked down again and again. If I do get up, I'd have to try to get my mouse over the sword (that I can't see the pointer) to see the sword name then try to pick it up. Once I do pick it up, I gotta open my inventory, drag it to my quick slot and press 1. Before I even get my mouse over the sword, Im back down on the floor.

Every minute I would get frozen for 10 seconds, that really hurts when fighting enemies.

I couldn't figure out how to view the controls so I was really screwed over on that. I just might not have looked hard enough though.

Well, I, myself, don't like the game. It seems like it could be a lot of fun though...

Gothic games are supposed to be challenging. Maybe you're too used to games like Oblivion that do everything for you :P

Anyway do you have 1g or more of RAM, duel cores, and a good graphics card?

Don't think Dual-core will help you :) It only went smooth AFTER I disabled the second core. Bug stuff.

Anyway, there's lots of sliders and options you can tweak in the gothic3 ini files.

@Regular K, sometimes its wise to run and not stand around to get beaten to a pulp. Use more strategy, learn how the combat works.

I just finished it. A very good game, but too many bugs. The beginning is very hard, and you need to quick save very often.

Oh, and it lags a lot, even with 2 gigs of RAM and a dual core :-(

I didn't like that comment on Oblivion there, IKG...
