Click-A-Block: Blitz Alpha Release

I thought I might let you all play a new game I am working on in BlitzMax. I currently consider it an alpha release, as all the features are in it, but there are no gameplay bugs at this time. You can find it here:

You will need a username/password for the site to play the game so it can upload your stats for the leaderboards.

Very nice. I like it. Simple and quick correspondence but the brick explosions are a litle bit to much...

The final build is going to let you turn the particle system and such off or turn it up to 11 ;)

Nope, no screenshots at this time. I can add some later. I will also have a Mac OS X build up later (tomorrow?) and a linux build once I get Ubuntu re-installed.

How does the gameplay work?

The gameplay is pretty basic. You just try and get large "connections" of blocks of the same color. Blocks touching on the top, bottom, left or right build a connection. The larger the connection, the larger the score you get. Here is the scoring algorithm:
blocks * floor(blocks / 2)

So...bigger = better ;)

New build released (a11). This one doesn't eat up all yoru cpu time :)
