Anyone one got or played 'Uplink'?

I'm bored of 'Dark Messiah' and I was browsing the steam games - I noticed one called 'Uplink'.

In UK money it was only about £5.00 to download it from Steam. So I thought 'why not?'.

Uplink is pretty old. It's a nice game once you get into it, but it get's a bit old fairly quickly.

Still, it seems like more fun that 'Dark Messiah'.

I thought it would be a lot of fun, but it wasn't. I was expecting something a little more cerebral and slower paced. It's like playing an RTS when you really fancy a TBS. It's had a lot of good reviews ( as, of course, have Introversion's other games ) so if you don't mind it being fast paced and not particularly cerebral, it's probably more than worth a fiver. Just wasn't for me.

Well, I cheated and gave myself loads of money - I bought the best gateway system and upgraded everything to maximum.

Now it is a bit too easy and I am losing a bit of interest - I've got all the stuff to do big-boy jobs but I have to plod along doing all the kiddy jobs.

I might start a new game and not cheat as much.

Yep... cheating kills ny game. Should try at least a couple of times without "AID" IMHO...
