Well, I want to get the balance between value and future proofing. And the main use of this computer will be video editing HDV, plus playing and making games and apps, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop etc. I'd get less spec if I thought it would be the right decision. Maybe I'll get a lower spec gpu, since DX10 cards will be coming soon...

make sure your card reader is of good quality.

Mine had the memory Stick Duo and the Memory Stick Pro Duo in the same slot.

What happened? I put my MS pro Duo into the correct slot but slightly angled and it crushed the pins. it's unusable now.

Was thinking of not bothering with that anyway, since I have an external reader. But good advice.

I agree with Cygnus. Still seems expensive to me. As I said the last time you posted ( although I may have missed a response from you ) I'd have expected an SLI setup for that sort of money.

(lol) Sorry had to laugh at that one. Its true, I guess if you want the best you have to pay. But I usually wait for prices to come down a little. It does sound like a nice computer, but if it doesnt exactly do what I need it for, I kinda wait. I got a XP SP2 and wish I hadn't. It hates being compatible with alot of things I need. Kind of like that socket thing.

Ah, no "Gfk" - they mean internal round cables for airflow reasons - probably worth it.

I have been looking at their systems too since I noted they were cheaper than Alienware and Dell - in fact, I belive "Mr Tricks" IS stealing my idea.

I'm kind of pausing now as I am not sure whether to just wait for Vista and DX10 card system.
