Minor Windows Problem

I have many programs installed on my Windows XP Home, and because I have so many, the list of programs under Start>All Programs takes more than two colums. Or at least it should take more than two columns, because Windows doesn't seem to want to create a third column for my list to continue on to. I can see one program on the list just barely poking up from the bottom of the second column, and I have more after that, but I can't access them because I can't see them. Anyone got a fix?

you don't see a little scroll arrow thing at the bottom? I thought XP had scrolling menus when they got too long, you just had to move your mouse over the arrow.

Nope, no scrolly thing. I know what you're talking about though, I think I had that on Windows 98. :\

Why don't you organise your startmenu?

I do. Everything is in a set of folders eg. Coding, Media, Audio, Web etc..

by who's definition? Yours? Because yours don't count. Organize your start menu.

Try to remove some unused items.

But it already is as organized as I want it to be. Programs in the order they were installed, and I like it like that. What I don't like though is the fact that I shouldn't do it this way simply because some 'bug' in Windows. I know of the little scrolly thing, but the question is why isn't it appearing?

Because you haven't enabled it?

Control Panel>Taskbar and Start Menu>Start Menu>Customise>Advanced>Scroll Programs

Ah, that's it. Strange that they even give you the option to turn it off.
