New Blitz forum - Open to all
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/New Blitz forum - Open to all
Hi Guys,
As you probably know I've set up a new dedicated Blitz forum. I mainly set this up to fill in the gaps that the offical forums do not have.
(copy and paste time)
Here we aim to offer an alternative to the official Blitz forums and extend its functionality to include:
* A true off-topic forum
* Better search facilities
* PM system for members to communicate
* Spell checking of posts (no excuse now)
* A centralised area for members to host files
* Live chat for members and groups to discuss ideas and have fun
Our plan is to evolve the sites functionality for its members needs. So if you have ideas and suggestions on how to improve this site then please post in the appropriate forum and we'll do out best to make SyntaxBomb a great community for all.
Click link www.syntaxbomb.com sign up and have fun :)
Humfff, why do so many sites refuse & in a user name
I'm already setting up home there now! :)
It's nice and fresh, very clean layout, everything is where you expect to find it!
Me chuffed to bits! :)

I like it. I hope this one works out.
I hope it works out too Daniel.
It all depends on people joining up and posting :)
i have a suggestion, Qube.
all those forums seem too many, i think you should collapse/remove all except newbies and programming for each blitz. not that i want to sound pessimistic, but i don't think you're going to get many userlibs/tutorials/code archive/community projects which will make the site look bad.
apart from that looks good!
Also I do doubt the long term availability of this.
I personally will not use it but good luck.
I joined - but I agree with "markcw" - too many forums. Basically, what you have is virtually this site plus extras. In time, you will probably find that people don't post in a lot of the specific sub-forums as they can do that here anyway.
However, may as well leave them there for the time being - see what happens.
I note "Red Ocktober" has joined. So people will find him their for a chat.

Yes, I was wondering myself about that but though I'd leave it up to members to decide the direction of things.

Why is that?
If people use it, it'll stay. If however in 12 months from now its a dead zone I'll use the domain for other things. 12 months is a good time frame to see if it'll work or not.
I think people should voice their opinion on that forum (and you should read the ambiguity in that remark both ways!)
It's fully daft to air a view on one forum on the pages of another, unless you're just telling folks you think it worth them at least looking it over, that much seems in good order, especially since it is blitz related in this case.
Makes rather more sense to sign up and have your say, in a place where that is actively encouraged, I would have thought.
whoops
*Blatent BUMP*
Join in, its for Blitzers like you and me, and to be honest, it's got a bloody good vibe in there, reminds me of the old BlitzCoder (Apart from Qube hasnt got a GhostBusters 2 baddie Avator)

Was just going to say something to that effect. I'm actually doing more post there too. I like it here, dont get me wrong. But it feels cozier there. I usually come here for buisness like stuff. Or for updates etc. Boy, we really are spread all around now on sites.
Signed up just there .. cheers.
Just saw ya, LOL. Funny how diffent sites have different feelings for different reasons. But we all talk about the same stuff. Weird huh?
