Does anyone know where to get free tiles for 2D side scrolling games?

I have been wondering how we can add tiles to some of the map editors out there... I can't figure out how to break the images up to the constraints of the tile sizes...

No, really. Go on google and search free game tiles, you can't find anything. I've spent over an hour just looking for them.

Instead of looking for free game tiles, just look for game tiles. Have a look at:
