No - not Austin Powers!

but MojoPac can turn any portable storage device, including your iPod, or your USB flash or hard drives, into your Personal Computer - your MojoPac PC.

Sounds really interesting, but in reality the lock-down security system (checks for a serial number on the drive) currently stops most users with a USB Hard Drive from actually using the product! doh

Once installed, you can move from PC to PC (WinXP at this stage) carrying all your esstential programs - all totally isolated from the base system. Apprently you can install just about anything, from IE, Messenger, FireFox, MS Office, Visual Studio, even games!

I really hope they can sort out this serial number issue - would be great for development environments.

Will keep you posted as to whether they can fix my issue with the drive.

Note: if your interested in trying it, you may need to download a program called TrueCrypt, which creates a virtual harddrive (partition or file). This allows the installer to get around the serial number issue.

Looks interesting! Although, I have to say that I'm much more interested in trying out Project Studio IDE. =)

Thanks TeaVirus - work is continuing on the IDE and are still hopeful of a release by the end of the year.

Wow - really thought people would be all over this!

Well my question would be why?

It Sounds like another U3 type of setup. Does the world
need another lame U3? Ummm, not that your project is
lame of course. U3 is freaking lame though.

Also, why not just make your apps portable apps compliant
instead and not mess with things like U3 or MojoPac?

Wow - really thought people would be all over this!

It's not new, these type of setups have been around for a while now.

Here's a link to a linux based one, one among many others. http://www.projectblackdog.com/
