Want to buy PureBasic?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Want to buy PureBasic?

Does anyone want to buy my PureBasic license? I am using BlitzMax for dlls, so I have no use for PB anymore. Obviously it's not worth much to me, and I'll sell it for cheap.

Are you allowed to do that?
I know that you probably are, but after the grief on this site when someone sold their liecence for Bmax on codersworkshop Im supprised that you are allowed to do it here.

I would say to anyone thinking about it, I really like PB, and its only objects that have got me to preffer Bmax. So its a good deal. Especially for BPlus users.

That would be me who gave my BRL Account to someone else. The account was banned and the user I gave it to ended up having to buy BlitzMax for himself. His name is Link1426 by the way.

I emailed both SimonH and SimonA with regards to getting the account back and both ignored my emails.

As for PB, I already own it. There may be some people over at devcrunch who'll want to buy it if the price is right.

I think it would be pretty rude to offer to sell a Blitz product on the/a Blitz forum.

oh no!!!

they have found me!!!! nah i am fine with you guys knowing what happened and how cheap are you willing to go for PB?

I never sold it. I was giving the account to Link in exchange for some graphics work. People kicked up a big stink, link said something silly on CW and then SimonH disabled the account. As you can see, link is here with his own paid for license.

The account I had was a BMax + MaxGui account and it has gone to waste. As you might expect, I'm annoyed about it.

H&K, just email me. I'll change my PB user account to your email address and give you a new password, then let you do whatever you want with it.

PureBASIC is a really nice language actually - especially for application programming, and it has dll and thread support for multi-tasking. Not so hot for games though.

Lead, I wasnt telling you off, just letting you know the lay of the land. I can see nothing wrong with what you are doing. And although the offer is apreahiated, it would really slow down my development cycle if I had two comparible products.

The thing is, in the "Indie" language world, a licence is seen as a "Throwaway" thing, that is the sales numbers are so low, a lot of people do see it as almost as bad as warez. (I dont)

If you started a compitition, (Say puttyies sudjestion), and gave the licence as a prize......

I find if you're reasonable with BRL they're reasonbale back. Asked James first when I wanted to sell B+ (as I think is only fair) and he was very helpful.

Leadwerks: is your PB still on sale? How much? I'm interested..

I'm a little confused by what's said here...

I have a license for b3d and a license for bmax. A friend of mine expressed an interest in b3d, and I never planned to use it again. I used the contact form on this website to ask how I could go about transferring the license to my friend, and I still have the email that I got back from Blitz support in response (May 4, 2006), stating
If you let me know your friend's name and email address, I'll remove the registration code from your account and allocate a new code to your friend so he can sign up.

My friend never got interested enough in b3d for me to transfer the license to him, so we never actually did the above, though. The response I got from Blitz support makes me think as long as you're upfront about doing the license transfer, it's no big deal?

Mark.

Email me.

Good on them.

I purchased Noel Cower's B3D license way back when, and since Noel sorted everything out with James (BlitzSupport) before he offered it for sale, everything went very smoothly.

So, from my experience if done 'properly' then yes, it's no big deal.
