In You Tube you can load a video and then jump to any part of it using the slider. Is there a player available that allows this too and I can only find ones that make you sit through the whole thing in one go and if you try to jump to say, halfway it doesn`t work.
Any help would be most appreciated.
BTW I`m downloading videos from You Tube using the Firefox plugin, VideoDownloader.

Look at the left margin, the bottom set of tutorials are for external flv Flash files - excellent chappie very clear, very sensible tutorials. There is a video later which allows you to "scratch with the video" which is what you need I think.

These are great tutorials but not excactly what I am looking for. I really need an external player i.e. not on the web that allows you to use the mentioned scrubber bar to navigate the flash video. I could simply convert the videos into another format but I just wanted to know if you can move around with the scrubber bar in a downloaded .flv movie like you can on You Tube. It may not even be possible.
