anyway, those interested in 2d sprite animation may find it useful, which is why I made it in the first place, by scanning a series of "the human figure in motion". For study purposes only, and if you want to dissect it, you can use "gif splitter", and turn it into a .bmp image strip

Google the name MUYBRIDGE. He is the father of motion studies, animation and drunken bets on horses... Most of the pics are of his family and students...

yes, it is a scan of one of his sequences. I have two books, that I bought for my art studies. "The human figure in motion" and "animals in motion". Don't use them much, but when you need them, they are invaluable :)
