Apologies...

Apologies for the recent site outage.
Our web hosts need to replace the admin tool, and I didn't realize this meant an entire server shift!
So a few things got out of wack there for a while, and there are likely to be issues yet to be resolved - in particular, worklogs seem to have magically merged themseleves into a single topic. Will look into it but there's probably nothing we can do about it.
Codearcs were read only for a bit but that should be fixed now.
Any other issues, please post here!
I seem to have lost one of my socks in a thread. If you find it can I have it back? Was one of me "Winnie the Pooh" ones.
Also, the front page still needs fixing - the people on-line counter is broken - was broken yesterday.
The announcement of the 3d module for bmax being on sale has vanished, and so has the "purchase" button for it. I can't see it anywhere.
Off topic section of the forums has gone too.
also, Red Ocktober is missing.
and noel
nope, NoelCower is banned, Red Ocktober isn't.
I thought it had been decided that Red was banned?
Has he just switched engines/language I did see him round the Dark SDk site, but I think that was just part of his engine scanning.
I no longer have access to the beta testers section!
For the record, Noel and Red are no longer welcome on this site.
Discussion of site moderation is also unwelcome here so please email us directly if you have issues.
if someone is banned, is that means that he/she cant access updates or ban is only for forum itself??

When the site was most recently rejigged, the access to the updates and the forums were separated, so a ban from the forum is only a ban from the forum.
Phew!!!! glad things are getting back to normal.
A few hours ago I visited to see what was going on and was greated with a blank white page *shock* *horror*.
Might be a good idea in future to announce any work the hosts are doing just incase it results in a temporary server spat :)
You scared me to the bones! :)
Anyway, I'm glad everything is returning to a normal state.

Once you find it, put it over your mouth, erm.. I mean both your hands. :)
The site went down? And then was messed up? And then came back up? And I slept through it all?
Yay!

Same here.
10 minutes ago the server borked up again, for me anyway.
Yep, looks like someone forgot to feed the hamster today...
DOWNTIME!??!?! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
Psst.... when did it go down?
UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I suppose with Red gone I've gotta take over for him with the elipses... I too am an elipses abuser... Help me...

I'll bet someone kicked it off the wheel with a large boot!

I don't like elipses. I don't like anything that blocks out the sun.
Whew. Thought you guys pulled a CW.
Another thing that is messed up is the "preview" button for posting. I tried to preview one of my posts and it just posted like normal.
@skidracer
You guys sometimes make me kind of contemplative.
Why isn't Red welcome anymore?
Why are you so picky about what people talk about?
I thought of you more like a bunch of computer hippies but you don't act like them.
Why are you so picky about what people talk about?
Because they can potentially be held liable.
If someone talks about moderation here?
Did it just go down again?
Briefly, yes. Maybe the worklogs? They're back now ( although all unnamed, of course. )
Yeah, pretty soon you may see me go, and revert back to MSDN forums.

Yeah, Yippy yi Yae
Hmm... Well, on second thought, I could probably work SOME Blitz in with VS 2005 and VS 6.0, just depends on how well one'll help out with the other.
No, I think you were right in the first place you should consentrate only on your VS skills. It will when all said an done make it easier for you to sell ideas to saga if the game framework is in VS
Yeah, but then again, Microsoft would have to require you to license your project with them, which would be a HUGE dollar investment to do so. That's part of a big corporate company letting you use their programming and development tools for your software.
Whoooooooooosh!
