Concerned over BMax Purchase

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Concerned over BMax Purchase

I have attempted to contact Blitz Research over this issue and have met a wall of silence. As some of you know I am facing a deadline, I was supposed to have finished my project during work hours today, but i'm currently unable to compile it despite having just forked out for BlitzMax. Why?

I have no idea. For some reason my license has been revoked.

To my knowledge i've not been banned, I still have Blitz3D.

I've stuck my neck on the chopping block at work to make my boss buy BlitzMax before finishing the application i've just written. It's only a simple application that took just a couple of days to make so he didn't want to spend the money, but I didn't want to release it whilst only owning the demo so I stuck my neck on the chopping block, had a flaming argument with my boss, and made him fork out the money.

Kudos me I thought, that's one up for shareware. He gave me his card, I put through the order for BMax and GUI and I got the download but not the update, it was an hour past home time so off I went safe in the knowledge today I would finish it off ahead of tomorrows deadline.

I came in in the morning to find my license has been removed, the BUID is no longer tied to my profile. I've had no explanation and they havn't responded to my emails all day.

Tomorrow morning I see my boss, and I have no idea what I can say to him.

I expect to get fired.

Hi Becky, we have had some email and forum problems in the last 48 hours due to our service provider messing with our server.

Please try and register your blitzmax product on your blitzbasic.com account with the BUID you should have received at time of purchase and let me know if there are still problems with the downloading of updates.

*EDIT*
forget it, I'm too slow :)

Re-registering worked this time, and thank god for that! Now i'm just going to have to work my cotton socks off first thing tomorrow. I was so hoping you'd say his card bounced so that it would be his fault.

heh..dont like your boss? ;):p

It's a lot easier to not be yelled at when the fault is on the yeller. Glad to see you got it worked out, sorry to hear you still have to bust chops to get it done.

Sounds like he's your run-of-the-mill power tripper. =]

PROFESSIONAL ADVICE: (I am now Logistics Manager and Purchasing manager for my company) Tell him that the hiccup occoured because of a difference between CC servers at banks in different countries / time zones so his card may not have been processed on the same date/time because of the international date line shift... BRL is in NZ!!! It might work...

I use the international bank credit to explain to Haliburton why some of the SUN parts we have to source outside USA arrive 24 hours late...

Or just tell him the truth, BRL had server issues.

Don't payments have to be authorised by puki first?
