Neverwinter Nights 2 Screenies

Hmmm, i'm kind of dissapointed by the graphics in NWN2. The modelling, the texturing, most of the screenshots don't look good to me and lack a certain style through all of them like in WOW for instance... :O/

I agree, but the gameplay is whats make that game - that and the ability to create your own adventures for your friends to play.

Yes but sadly the trailers i've seen of it also weren't this great. They showed more hack&slay scenes instead of a demonstarting how a little story evolves.

Furthermore it was written in a game magazine that they will distinguish the game for normal and premium versions not only for some goodies in the package. They add certain items and talents only to the permium version. I dislike the tendency getting a crippeled version for the normal price only.

I really was hoping for NWN2 but as it's now i will wait till there is a review about the game and then only buy it if it get's great results and fits to my personal taste. Sad...

How adventures have you really done with the editor? I have to admit that i only did one...

Ok, I really dislike the new way of releasing a crippled normal version.

Like Oblivion were released without the special room in the Arcane University. I combed the place for the special key it said I was missing, as I was the archmage, I thought I should have access to everything - but no, had to buy an upgrade. (which I didn't - crappy game)

welll it looks a lot better than the first one which looked pretty bland. but the game was good.

To be fair i would say only a part of the story of he main module was really good.

I thought NWN1 was a total waste of my time. AND money.

It looks ok to me. It must be difficult to make D&D exciting since the campaign setttings tend to be rather bland and generic.

On another note, Obsidian seem to do quite well making slightly shoddy sequels to Bioware games, don't they?

Hmmm Obsidian looked awful too. I remember some weird anatomy.

Ahhh why can't there be a new roleplaying game with the depth of an Ultima, great campaigns like you play them on a lot of pen&paper systems, the humour of the Bard's Tale and a nice continuous graphics style. It doesn't have to include the lastest technology, just make it right from the style...

I will have a look at that when a demo comes out.

All my hope lies in Gothic III atm.

I'm hoping I can lift the graphics out of this one.

The original NWN meshes were okay - some of the achitectural meshes were nice. However the NPCs were a bit low-poly due to the fact that it was really an overhead view game not meant to be played with them in 1st person.

Plus the range of animations in the original models were fantastic - I'm hoping for better-looking character meshes for NWN2 - plus the fact that they are just as easy to extract as they were from the NWN packed files.

I agree, but the gameplay is whats make that game
True. But considering the hackjob Obsidian made of another sequel to a Bioware classic (Knights of the Old Republic) I'm not even going to bother with this one. KOTOR2 was disappointment enough.

I'll be getting Dawn of War: Dark Crusade instead.
