Laptop

I'm looking for a laptop mainly for running Cubase and Blitz.

I plan to never have it connected to the internet as I don't want virus scanners/spyware apps running in the background.

So, something with a firewire port and USB and at least a 17" screen.

Suggest away!...;)

You don't get many viruses on the Mac if they are of any interest.

Ah come on I'm trying to resist buying a shiny new laptop and managed to resist while in a computer store about an hour ago - now you're buying one! ;-)

No suggestions, but Dual Core Processor, 1024Mb RAM, 150Gb harddrive and a good graphics card seem sensible.

Really expensive but amazing spec: Sony AR21S Core 2 Duo Laptop (2GB RAM/200GB HDD/2.0Ghz Core II Duo/256MB 7600GT nVidia Graphics Card/Blu-Ray Disk Burner/Reader/TV Tuner/Optical Audio Out). Expected to be released October 5th.

For a cheaper model: Sony FE31Z (1.83Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 200GB HDD, nVidia 128MB 7600, DVD+-RW). Again expected October 5th.

Just don't buy Alienware!
