Fileplanet - anyone subscribe to it?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Fileplanet - anyone subscribe to it?

EDIT:
The community can rest easy - I have resolved the issue.

Anyone have initial problems setting up their subscription?

Last night I decided to take up a 1 year subscription to Fileplanet - I paid my money and got an email welcoming me.

It stated 'To get started, we need to verify your e-mail address. Click the link below and the magic will happen!'

So I did, and have continued to do so - yet I have no active subscription.

The bizarre thing is that gamespy recognise that I have verified my email (because it tells me my email is verified) and even gives me a button to 'receive another welcome email'????? Not sure why someone who has verified their email needs to request another welcome email. However, having done that about 10 times, I still have no active subscription.

Currently, I am waiting on customer services to attend to my problem.

I'm suspicious it might be some ploy to cut the length of my subscription - they might take a month to sort it then end my subscription 12 months from the date I paid.

Still, I bought a 600g pack of bacon (20 rashers) and a 400g block of mature cheddar and will pleasure myself accordingly.

Yummy, can you post me some of that?

That immoral in over half the worlds religions

I had a fileplanet account but found that fileshack accounts were much more stable and speedy.

Mmm, actually Fileplanet is quite cheap - I paid $49.95 (US) for a year - that is £26.35 UK - that's 50p per week.

Wow, it is like about 7p per day.

I'm going to download tons of stuff.

hope your speeds don't go to crap like mine did when I had them. I started getting less speed than the public servers got. That's why I went to fileshack. :)
