Another dumb desktop thread

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Another dumb desktop thread

I never thought I would do this, and I think my past self vowed to kill me if I do, but I am.

After (hopefully) rescuing my desktop from the horrible curse of MSVDM, I felt it necessary to show it off.

(Sorry about the big image here...)

Yes, this is Windows :)
I found that I don't need WindowBlinds to do attractive skins; you can just run something like UXTheme Multi-patcher to apply a simple patch to a Windows DLL so that it will run unnoficial themes. It's much faster than WindowBlinds, too!

As you can see, I like Gnome (Though I'm not into themes with logos. I would be using the Milky theme if it didn't have a giant Apple logo on it and I'd probably be using the Human colour scheme for that if it didn't have the Ubuntu logo), drop shadows are cool, and I have learned to hate Windows's horrible toolbars.
Windows's toolbars could be great tools, but if I do so much as click on them wrong that entire stack will explode into a horrible mess that takes forever to clean up.
They do remove a lot of clutter though.

Go ahead and post yours :D
Just to make this thread more useful; could someone poke around at their desktop background with WinDowse for me?
I need to know if that background is inexplicably made up of 4 layers (you can move any window in the Modify tab to find out), and if desktop backgrounds actually do not have a handle of 0.

There's mine.

No performance hit. :)
