Euro characters

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Euro characters

Ok, I'm trying to convert to my man made fontmap image set to use the special euro characters but I'm not sure of how many of them there are.

I know that when I learnt German at school you'd got those letters like U and O that has that 'um-lout' on the top, the two dots but I don't really know much more than that.
In theory I'd like to make a fontmap that someone else can bosh a file into and then it won't die when it tries to use a particular fancy symbol that I didn't know about and thus didn't draw or put into the fontmap :)

How do you guys get around this? Also they're part of ascii right?

Any info would be useful, ta :)

All the required Euro chars are in the extended ASCII set, I think - this is, characters with ASCII codes above 127.

Some TTF fonts aren't complete and miss out the extended chars, but standard fonts like Arial, Verdana etc. should contain the full set.

Cheers guys, looking now :)
