Does the community need a new Box Shot Maker?

A while back I was working on a Box Shot Maker program but ran into problems with Win Blitz. Now Win Blitz is stable and free I might carry on with this app.

So was wondering whether the community would find another Box Shot Maker program to be useful.

The Cereal Box Shot Maker is very good and free but I find it a bit clunky. My box shot maker would render the box in real time unlike the Cereal one.

Thoughts?

What's one of those?

It's an application that generates these types of pictures when marketing your finished project...

If I was selling a boxed game (massive IF) and if I needed an image like that I'd just take a photo. Renders of physical objects always make me think there's a scam going on.

Yep, I have to agree, it's just not right to show a box shot of a non-existant box. So please, no more Box Shot Makers!

I dont think they're needed - ever. Especially when what you're selling doesn't actually come in a box. It's *almost* false advertising.

I agree.. box shots of non-existant box's are dumb... Maybe in 1995 when a rendered box shot might be MORE impressive than the game gfx... I could see it... But now... nah.
