Baking Lightmaps?

does anyone know of a way to bake a lightmap texture into a single texture, with the uv coords correct... is there a utility or tool out there that'll do this... something a lil cheaper than 3DSMax, or a util that'll take a B3d and create a single texture from multiple ones...

Just to mention it: Mark's own Maplet (available on this very site <g>) bakes .B3D lightmaps.

Also I've used LightMapMaker from WindSoft (now AwingSoft) with decent results. I paid the ~$30 fee when it was charged for, but then they released that full version for free. It's available at:

Its baked lightmaps can be used with Blitz3D (I did some tests with 'em).

Warning: The Lightmapmaker install file from the above webpage:
LMMAKER039.EXE contains the following trojan:
TR/Drop.Delf.fz.1.A
At least that's what Antivir says. Damage potential is rated low to medium, more infos see here:

It may be a mistake, like eg. when it said moleboxed EXEs are all infected, because there has been one infected moleboxed exe. (Antivir used a molebox signature). However, be careful!

EDIT: I just scanned the file using the meta scanner from:

None of the scanners found something, but "Norman Virus Control" claims to have found "W32/DIYNet.A" that is not a alias for the "TR/Drop.Delf.fz.1.A".

If somebody can confirm this...

Scanned it with Norton(latest version) and System Suite and neither found anything.

Ok, thanks. Nevertheless, I'd be careful with this. Avira (in fact Antivir sequel) just moved it to the quarantaine folder, so it may be harmful.

Probably it was a temporary thing.
