I use Becky! for internet mail and it is beaten by no
other email-program IMHO. The MS products especially,
are targeted by hackers and are full of flaws so noone
in their right mind should use them for e-mail.
But using a little known email-program makes spam a bit
more hard to fight since most free antipam solutions are
made as plugins for Outlook (Express) or other mainstream
email-programs.
Recently I have been receiving more spam and had to find
a good solution to my problem. I should also mention I
have multiple e-mail accounts and the different servers
behave a little different from eachother. Because of this
the spamfilters who use 127.0.0.1 as server most of the
time works only on one account.

After a looooong search I found this gem and I'd like to
share it with you. It works on ANY mailprogram as there
are NO settings to set at all, NONE! Install and off
you go. The built in bayesian filter is great. After
training the filter with about 10 spams and 10 good
emails it removes 99% of my spam before it reaches my inbox.
And it is 100% free !! :o)
No spyware or rootkit in there either !
