Is that like only Far Cry 1? or 2?
Wii sports sounds pretty dodgy, hope it's got some nice Japanese ladies in it.
I guess it will be the FarCry which is available for consoles already, so neither FarCry nor Crysis from da pc.
sweet, i know what games i am adding to my buy list
i will play any of you in Call of Duty 3 if i can get it, i am not the greatest but pretty good
I can't see that Mario game in there - Mario Galaxy, or something? I thought that was chalked in as a launch title.
"Extite Truck"? Man, i can already imagine the title screen.
Doo doo doo doodoo dooo. Doo doo doo doodoo dooo. Do dodo do dododoo do doo-doo-doo-doo do. :-)
Mario Galaxy was never a launch title.
It should be :(
Ah, I just assumed it was. So, we're going to have a Nintendo launch without any Mario game, then?! Shocking! :P
Here is an interview about FarCry on the Wii:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
Where'd you get your source from? Never recalled reading from anywhere that that'd be a launch title.
(here's to hoping it'll be what the GameCube version shoulda been)
Anyway, I've been tempted to pre-order this system when the official launch date is announced, get my hands on the new Zelda & Metroid Prime (best system launch-game combo ever imo) with the Wii....
Will be nice to see how FarCry stands up, it looked damn pretty on the Xbox (ok, not as pretty as the PC, but for console standards it was), hopefully the Wii is more powerful then we expect it to be (a souped up GameCube most I've heard say) and the end result will be just as good.
[EDIT] Oh nice, Metal Slug in there as well, guess I get to be buying me two copies of it then..
(one for home on Wii, and on the road on my PSP)
I think Wii sports will be the best. Honestly i don't know much about the rest... :O)
Yeah, just like the GameCube, where Super Mario Sunshine wasn't exactly a launch title, either. That really surprised me back then, I guess that Nintendo's not as generous of releasing a Mario game right at launch like they used to, or even bundling a Mario game with a system. I miss those days... Sigh.
Wii Sports does look like a must have title. Simple gameplay, and very good use of the controller.
I might even break my own rule and play FPS games on the Wii console.
Yeah, the Wii may be one of the first game consoles where an FPS is actually easy to control. It just never felt right on any Xbox/X360 FPS, or on the PS1 that I had before that (man, never had a PS2, or a Dreamcast, should have, but was a little weary at the time). Well, the DS had a lot to prove that FPS games could be made easy on a handheld with a stylus (yes, I mean Metroid Prime Hunter). So, they may be looking to bring that forth in the Wii with motion control. It may just work.
I just wonder if it's possible to do true FPS controls without resorting to pulling 180 degree's on yer remote to turn around..
All the FPS games showed so far (Red Steel & Metroid Prime3) employ a system where you aim on the screen, rather then with it, and the viewport turns when you aim to the sides of the screen.
They also have a precision-target mode (to my knowledge, at least in Metroid Prime) where you *do* aim the screen, but it's limited in some respect also.
I can see those systems working (the precision aim in GoldenEye 007 is like the normal aim mentioned above, and it worked wonders), just wonder if the developers can integrate them well enough so that they are not a hindrance.....I dont want to hold my remote to the side of the screen for 3 seconds to pull a 360 turn for instance.
I can't imagine that any FPS that -would- require a 3 second to the edge of the screen hold to do a 360 turn wouldn't impliment a quick turn feature... a button.. 'double tapping' against the screen edge... or even better.. detecting the amount you turn the controler after it exits the screen.. father = faster.
