It's free for 10 days though?!?

It's pretty sad when free trials are advertised as the product.

I noticed it again today while trying to find a fax to email service so I could get my glasses prescription without going all the way back to where I got it.
(They seem to live in the dark ages and are only able to send it via bloody fax machines).

Also kind of odd how some of the free trials have setup fees, and every one requires I give them my credit card number so that if I forget to remove my account after 30 days it will automatically start charging me... With, and I quote (sort of) absolutely no need for my own interaction to go from a trial to a paid account!

i hate those bloody things, why would you say it is free yet start charging from teh beginning with start up fees and then having to pay for a CD you have already that was supposedly free

and fax machines are so stupid, why can't you scan, save, send

it is simple and a monkey can do

If you want to keep using something beyond its free trial period, then paying to use it is only fair. It probably mentioned this in that EULA that you agreed to without bothering to read first.

That explains why 99% of businesses still use them.

why can't you scan, save, send
What do you think a fax machine does?

it is simple and a monkey can do
I doubt it.

Credit Card required...........for free CD?

That's all that came to my mind first thing after readin the site.

Think you get a free fax no when you take a lycos.co.uk email account.

Hey! Now you can pay them to ship you Open Office.org software which is Free!!! Oh and the website now promises ONE FREE CD...

Just so you all know... Fax machines are rated for legal documents.. thats why you have to fax an Rx... it has a sig on it and therefore must be mailed or faxed.... be glad they can fax it... 20 years ago you couldn't do that... you had to mail them.

just a little tidbit of info...

They aren't in the darkages by choice... hehe.. you can only, walk, mail, fax or phone in an Rx... for legal reasons.
