Laptop help

My laptop (which is 2 and a half years old) is making a loud high pitched buzzing sound, I think its the fan.

Do I need a new fan?
Is my laptop going to die?

laptops are a lot more sensitive to heat than a desktop. If your fan is going out, get a new one immediately or yes, it could die.
