The animation is a bit brief - it doesn't really look motion-captured from what I can see of it.

Is that video a joke? Motion Captured? I think the motion escaped.

My math is a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure that 850 is not approximately 1500. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Originally i had posted the first line '1500', then i reduced the horse even further, and then amended it to 850.

It is 850 for the low poly. i will amend all text now

I see the problem... The body of the horse isn't attached to it's legs so close to the knee... thats what looks wrong in the video... like like a half horse half ... bat

I think it's good. Needs a bit of tweeking but overall it's a good model. When Buying models I consider animated ones a bonus.

I don't know why, but I just can't shake the feeling of a cow head in that top picture.

Look at the horse's knees (and.. um.. elbows?) the geometry is fused and so it's chest/lower belly pull with the legs... it creates a very webbed look... like the skin is forming a very batwoman like wing/cape out of horse flesh..

How many death animations does it come with?

Oh dear - you're losing your marbles if you can't see the animation for the shoddy tripe it actually is in the video. The only thing I can think of is if you used something like fraps to grab it realtime which perhaps led to it looking so jerky and amateur.
I'd take that video down if I were you and get a better one sorted out - if indeed the animation is motion captured.
