Problem with graphics card

I made the horrible mistake of using ParcelForce to move my computer (which was well packed btw) and now the fan on the graphics card is no longer attached. The card is only an unbranded GeForce 2 GTS but it's barely worth replacing the card seeing as the rest of the PC isn't up to much either. Does the fan need to be glued on? If so, what type of glue do I need? I noticed there are holes for screws but they don't seem to have been used.

I get the feeling the GFX card is the least of your worries. You can get a cheapass GFX card cooler from www.maplin.co.uk or elsewhere, but if the force knocked that fan off, it may have done worse to your drives etc....

Just screw it back on.
or
You know those "Metal wrapped in pastic" little wires they use to close sandwich bags, or frezzer bags etc. Get four of them and looping though the screw holes fasten the fan back to the board.

i think it's known as "thermal glue" or "Silver Thermal Compound".

That would be for attaching a heat sink to the chip, not for attaching the fan to the heatsink

That's for heat sinks, muk, and isn't a glue anyway, so it'd just fall right off again. :P

Anyway - what Cygnus said! I mean, Parcel Force?! C'mon. I'd think twice about sending a rock with them. :P
