I'm close to having a mental breakdown on this one...
I have a Netgear DG632 Router with built in broadband modem. It connects to the PC via USB and appears as a local area connection (this is all normal). My XBox 360 connects to it via an ethernet cable.
Now here's where it gets wierd :
The Xbox connects to the net fine.
Outlook Express connects just fine too.
But Internet Explorer WILL NOT CONNECT TO THE DAMN INTERNET. This is especially bizarre because AFAIK Outlook takes its connection settings from IE.
I'm typing on the same PC using a different DSL modem which works just fine, so its not the provider.
The only noticable thing to report about IE is it sometimes says "connecting to site 1.0.0.0" in the info pane reagrdless of the site I'm trying to access.
