I bought it when it's 3.41, and using it till now (3.60beta), I still had a few problems dealing with som .7z and .lzh archives, otherwise pretty good daily tool.

Cool, after about a hundred refreshes it worked, and I got the license key. No more trial version for me.

By rushing to download a one-time-only free older version of the software to replace the non-registered trial version you've been illegally using for years, how are you supporting the author of the software?

Pay for it, register it, it is worth the money.

I still have prob with 7z and lzh, in such situation, I use TUGZip at http://www.tugzip.com when WinRAR can't extract that.

If you don't want to support WinRAR, use a freeware one instead, however WinRAR worth the money you paid.

Although, I've switched to 7-zip these days.
The 7z format gets far superior compression.

WinRar still has my favourite self-extracting archives, of course!

It's a shame that the most popular archive software is WinZip, which barely supports anything besides Zip (which is complete garbage). I have no choice but to double my filesizes and use that :(

in my defense of keeping the trial version but not buying the full is because my parents will not let me spend that much money on an archiever, so i will replace it with this one

Personally I gave up on 'better' formats and switched back to just plain vanilla .zip, simply because they are pretty much universally supported.

Slightly better compression is always nice, until you have to deal with the headaches of not having access to a compatible decompressor.

I switched to and bought powerarchiver myself... Both the windows and the command line versions. :)
