Arizona bound...

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Arizona bound...

Seems I will be locating from snowy Minnesota to the sunny southwest in the very near future.

I was just wondering if there was anyone here from the AZ area (Phoenix, specifically)...

Good luck in that insane heat... Wasn't it 116 degrees there just last week? Breaking records daily?

Hot enough here in the midwest for me. I walked outside for 30 seconds and ran screaming back into the air conditioner. :)

Yeah, maybe talk with Vince Desi when you're out there... Hopefully he'll want you to help develop Postal 3 for all it's worth!

But it's a dry heat... ;)

But it's a dry heat... ;)

Not in Monsoon it isn't, it's as muggy as hell, but you get used to it.
The heat is ok, as long as you don't have to work in it, like me.

Yankee!!! Just what the hot and humid south needs.... another yankee escaping the cold!!! I saw snow two christmases ago... dec 24th!!! it was 14 years before that (except for pictures!)

Houston Rocks!!! (but is terribly hot and humid... 80f in December!!!)

go down there Rocket... just to spite Rook :)

and don't believe what they're tellin' you about humidity in Phoenix... it has nothing on the dog days of Autumn in NY...

the only thing you will have to watch out for is the serial killers that are running loose there... wasn't there something on the news about two serial shooters or something in Phoenix...

Phoenix, of all places...

MN = "Land of 10,000 lakes". AZ can't touch the humidity we have here even in monsoon season.

I was interviewing there last week, and just missed the big storm that went through Scottsdale. It was funny stepping off the plane in Minneapolis. The temperature was cooler than Phoenix, but quite a bit more miserable due to the 70% humidity.

I did hear about some sort of serial shooters running loose down there, which wasn't the best news to hear. Hopefully I can take some of the skills I've learned from first person shooters and duck behind some crates or something.

I'm relocating for family reasons... and the job I ended up getting is a fairly significant leap forward in my career.

I did look at Texas at one point in time as a place to end up. Then remembered that this was the state that spawned our president (and Rook). ;)

good luck... in all seriousness, i think that you'll find Phoenix Arizona to be one of the better places in the world to live...

from what i've seen of it, it looks like a beautiful spot... and i have given serious thought to moving there myself...

again... good luck with your move...

I will thank you not to mention me in the same sentance with Bubba!!!

You know I met him once... before he was even Governor of Texas... Funny and weird story... What did you interview for in Tejas? You know we need Techs at Revacomp...
