Online Oekaki

Could someone point me in the right direction to getting started in the online drawing community. I haven`t a clue where to start and I`m hopeful that a few people here may be able to help. For starters I know there are several programs that can be used to draw but which is a decent one to start with. Do I need Java? Again any help from experienced users would be great.

I've only ever used the limited Japanese ones, as to which I've lost links too, mainly used the "PaintChat" version of the Oekaki's so I and others can doodle together on a single large painting canvas....

Regarding requirements, yeah, you'll want Java installed, as the majority use them iirc.

Should maybe ask Jimbob about this as he seems active in said web-programs, as shown by his recent thread.

a graphics tablet, a mouse is not a good drawing tool.

Pick One and you should be able start it, a php+MySQL space is recommended.

I haven't got a tablet, yet the results I've come out with don't look too shabby at all. The thing is to just be patient, whatever tool you're using.

It's a pictionary-like online game where you have a chat room and are given something to draw and the other people have to guess it. It's a lot of fun.
