Hiya, I was wondering if anyone's got any nice little 32-bit png particles they'd be willing to share for free? Pretty please, as I seem rubbish at making them...
Have a look on ParticleCandy, the demo comes with nine particles in a single png (if I remember right). The default ones: sparks, stars, clouds...etc. For testing purposes this should do it.
ok thanks for the info. Well I need particles suitable for making little sparkles in a game so small glowing dots or stars I guess. Also something suitable for a firefly type thing.
I really want something I can use in my next commercial game so not sure if I should use the PArticle Candy ones onluess they are free...
I seem to remember Paint Shop Pro coming with a picture tube (if thats the correct term, it`s been a while) of sparkles. Or ExGen as I suggested once before might include some and is handy for future use as it can generate some great looking explosions.
You are welcome to use the ones I sent you previously that I use (to great effect) in my games.
Oh yeah thanks, I'll have to search for them...
QuickSilva: Thanks, I shoulda checked that out before... [edit] just did, only BMP support. It really needs to be PNG for the transparency needed in BMax games :-(
OT: Don't know if I've mentioned this before, but if I marry my girlfriend, guess what, I'll be related to the Krankies (Yes, that's right, the unfunny ones off the tele from years gone-by)... Champion! :/
