SP2 Blitz Issue... PLEASE EXPLAIN!

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/SP2 Blitz Issue... PLEASE EXPLAIN!

I read this on the TREE MAGIC topic...
Then Windows SP2 rendered Tree Magic and Tree Magic Pro useless, because anything which was compiled in Blitz in the pre SP2 DEP Blitz compiler will not run on PCs with SP2 or better installed. It is the protected memory issue.
Imagine my surprise when I read that...

I don't have SP2 on my windows XP Pro...{BOO DRM!} does this mean any game I compile in B3d (i have the current update of that) will not run on someone elses computer???

Can someone please explain???

If you have the latest version of B3D, anything you compile will run on machines with SP2 on.

What DRM?

Digital Rights Management.

Problem is DEP, not DRM.

As Mustang:
DEP NOT DRM! And this issue has been fixed a long time ago.

It got fixed many times just recently too ;]
