Statement from Rich at TGC
This Tread (Hosted At TGC)
AlienCodex is back up. (Its TGC, but its still there)
http://www.aliencodec.com/
And all without anyone getting sued?! :P (Seriously though, good fer you guys... this is due to the mini TGC campaign, right? EDIT: Ah, I see you've added a link.)
@Sledge I had to add a link, cos I do think that Puki and I did acctualy achieve something here ;)
Mind, they might have been going to do this anyway, and then Puki and I have achieved nothing ;|
w00t..
gotta buy it now while its back on the market!
Thanks Puki and H&K for your fighting spirits..
I hope this is final and stable decision so web site and products will not dissapear again...
Great news, you and Puki have done the community proud! :)
Dabz
Largeness to Puki and Co!
Yeah thats all very well -
BUT what about the versions of Tree Magic that don't work since the SP2 DEP problem arose in B3d?
I have paid full price for two systems and neither will work on SP2. I have contacted The Game Creators and the last I heard was that they may look into it - from the news above I guess I can go spin on it.
So I guess I now have to buy the G3 version full price.
IPete2.
Thinks it helped that we didn't give up because Rich mailed me yesterday as well, so I got access to blitztree and blitzgrass which I bought long ago as well :-)
After all, at least once the strength to not give up helped ... :-)
Does anyone else find that the demos of BTree and BGrass MAV?
@Ipete2, If you have G2 of these products g3 is a free upgrade. this below is directly from Richard on the thread above
Anyone who bought Plant Life or TreeMagik G2 from TGC can upgrade free of charge (G2 owners upgrade to G3 for free). Just go into your Order History and download the new versions, this offer will not expire.
NO I dont have it - unfortunately I bought early and upgraded tree Magic to Tree Magic Pro, when G2 came along I had already bought it twice - so I didnt want to spend more for what is effectively an upgrade.
I guess thats why I am gripeing at the fact that neither porogramme work in SP2 - The people at Game Creators said - in February -0 that they would look into it for me - but never came back with a satisfactory solution.
I should go back and whine again - but you end up getting a bad rep for just moaning - albeit rightfully.
IPete2.
I guess if they offered me an upgrade from TM Pro I might consider it, especially as the products are completely useless to me as they are, but they already know that and have done nothing to help me.
sigh...
Bah, I still haven't wrangled my free copy of BlitzGrass.
Yeh, it was a job well done. We only speeded this up slightly as the website was already done, so their stalling was kind of not working - I think they were planning a big forthcoming launch and we kind of ruined that idea. I think they were probably worried that BlitzGrass and BlitzTree were about to change hands (as freeware) within the community and all those sales were going to be lost.
Yeh, much Largeness and self-touching to be had.
I am trying to ascertain what versions they are:
We have updated all of the products on sale. They are brand new EXEs built from the latest versions of the source that Ronnie gave us.
I want to know if these are versions subsequent to the ones that Aliencodec previously supplied to registered users.
I'll buy BlitzGrass anyway and then let you know what version it is - I'm not repurchasing BlitzTree if it is the same version.
EDIT:
Also, the prices seem good. I paid $49.95 for the full, 60 tree, version of BlitzTree. So $29.95 is good - plus they do mention that this is the 60 tree version.
Puki, when are we gonna see some games written in all these hundreds of packs you seem to be buying? :)
I think what they most likely were planning to do is a conversion of it and make DarkPlantlife out of it ... They have Dark AI and Dark Physics but nothing that makes the dry world look living, so it will definitely become the next thing afterwards ;-)

Please explain this statement? My mother does not understand it.
@Puki,
There is a chance that they did the whole thing in the one day between us saying they could do it in one day, and the next statement (Which was at the end of the working day) from Rich.
I think he really ment "Low Priority", and it was only when we pointed out how that was not finacaly a good idea, that he simply told someone ( or did it himself),to spend a day finishing the page.
Do you think I implied it was for sale somewhere? Because I was very careful to NOT say that
Further to "boomboom's" comments - I found BlitzTree to be fine, but BlitzGrass certainly does MAV, regardless of what set-up your run at launch.
I love how the wording under the pictures on the BlitzTree page and the BlitzGrass page are exactly the same.

Can anyone get the BlitzGrass demo to run?
Yeah it runs with no problems here Puki,
it used to Mav on my Geforce6800gt, what card are you running?
but ill go double check if its running on the geforce or not.
ill let ya know
edit:
(yep, it gave a MAV) , so im guessing its compiled with the b3d realese that had the geforce vertex bug ? (1.90?)
if you got it and compiled with current b3d it would probably work.
Sam
Well, I have an ATI Radeon X800 XL
hmmm, tested it on a system with a geforce5900u and it works fine there also.
anyone else have any idea why it might be causing a MAV on some systems and not others?
becuase I was gonna get this next week.
Sam
Well, one problem is TGC have no idea as to what actual versions any of the products are.
