Think of the possibilities

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Think of the possibilities

This is one of my business partners sites, it's next gen video streaming technology for use in web-pages, apps and games.

Please take a look at the beta site : http://www.vwho.net (this is WIP so there are only two channels on a loop)

My experience with this was "Safari can't find the internet plugin...blabla"

I got a little "failed" message box (in both IE 6 and Firefox 1.5 on XP SP2).

@taumel, there would be a MAC version if a MAC expert would help me :)

"Failed"- Win2K, IE5.

@Indie
Not me... :O)

failed...

well what do you know it works on my PC. Lost or some pap I don't watch ;-)

it told me to install some software, so I didn't..

Works fine for me. Pretty good quality, took about 10 seconds to load.

Sound eventually got out of sync =/ and for my friend, it crashed his Firefox.

works for me too (firefox), but I am a tad concerned that the igloader auto-installed the software instead of asking me.

Lol ok. Hah.

IE6 crashes on my P4 (XP Pro) and the error report Microsoft gives a problem with add-ons.

works for me in mozilla, but had problems on exiting....

Closed both IE6 windows I had open.

crashed on my pc too.

IPete2

Oucha! I'd better let the developer know. This is not good news.

Works, FireFox 1.5.xx

gets to 48.1% loaded and stops IE and firefox

IE 6, same problem as above...got stuck at 48.1%

Same as Seb and fetcher, Win2K IE6SP1.

Installed, brought up a black box and promptly crashed.

Freeze on loading the game.... IE6 W2K SP4

Typically the same prob as in the previous test (Pay2Play)

Something to do with the plug??

Works for me in Firefox 1.5 along with a gazillion plugins under Windows XP. Pretty nice stuff :)

Strangely, nothing happens at all when I try viewing the page in Vista/IE7+. All the links are broken.

Vista eh, that's an interesting one. I suppose I should grab a copy to test on.

...it's next gen video streaming technology ...

Ha ha, not next gen web-technology anyway ;o)
Firefox told me I need to install some shady plugin,
I don't see that happen anytime soon...

When I "think of the possibilities" they include spyware,
virus, adware, malware, HD-crash and total reinstall.....

(Especially when there's absolutley NOTHING else on
the site than a request to install neverheardof software!)

"Vista"

I see your problem.

You'll get over it.
