PC remotes
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/PC remotes
I'm thinking of investing in a remote control for my PC so I can flick through streaming music channels and control DVD playback.
Make me a recommendation and let me know why its the best choice.

Don't do it, it's not worth the money.
I have a remote control for my pc
In fact I have two
The first is reffered to as "My infrared Mouse", and the second as "My cordless keyboard"
It is my experience that anything affordable is very poorly implemented. The one I got with my Hauppage TV card is next to useless (unless I need to throw something at someone).
I just use my mouse.
I had one and never used it - you could control the mouse with a mini joystick - it seemed quite exciting at first - but, considering I sit so close to my PC, it ended up not being used. So, I would not bother with one again.

But I REALLY want one, despite the danger I may end up using it as much as Puki.
A cordless keyboard's great but its not the way I want to go.
I had a ramote control that came with a Tv/media card I bought, and I never used it. It was always easyer and quicker to find the keyboard (You know what remotes are like, whereas its quite hard to loose a cordless keyboard, doable, just harder)
I would like a remote control to fly freshly cooked pizzas from the local pizza outlet in through my bedroom window and land them on a plate in front of me.
That's what I call a remote control. Largeness to burstness.
Served on a super-heated pyrex dish?

Well in that case, the one I got with my Alienware was really neat. A real man remote that is.
Made by Alienware or another manufacturer?
