Active content update

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Active content update

Just for anyone who suffered at the hands of the recent change in active content embedding in Internet Explorer, Adobe have released a Flash/Dreamweaver update which sorts out the problems automatically for you.

If you don't know what the heck I am on about - forget it - if you do, pop over to this url and update your Dreamweaver now:

We've managed to overcome it using the Javascript fix that MS provided.

Ah... I hate ActiveX.

It was bad enough that they changed how their plugins work (from would-be standard NPAPI to ActiveX) at version 5 (or maybe 4)...

Actually, that has to be the first time I have ever seen proper documentation on the thing from Microsoft themselves.
Does this mean they've finally finished messing around with their web site?

Yeah - that is how I was doing it.

Luckily for us Adobe have provided a simple solution multiple flash swf files seem to be able to be embedded and its all automatically saved with your html. An elegant way to achieve it now exists simply by reloading your html files and saving them again.

Dreamweaver handles the solution silently (bar a simple question).
